YEAAHHH!!! I was finally able to get into my blog. Forgot the password and forgot it existed...ai ai AI! Now I'm just going to keep putting up what I had in my journal because it's just easier for others to see here then open up my journal and so on so forth. Next blog is going to be from Day 1 of Forbidden Planet, our musical and keep going until this blog catches up with the musical now, so please don't look at the dates cause they'll be wrong until I get to the point of the musical now.

Hopefully...we can get everything sorted out!! >o< I'm not nervous at all because I think that I have sunk into my character already. As a zanni I think I can do what I want to do and try out new things in this short performance. I'm going to try doing something with my movement during the "haunted room" scene an try doing something with what I have around me and what I can do during that scene.

My video is up!! First of all…I really need to tie my hair! My hair is in the way! And I keep looking at Leyla so nobody can see my face. Maybe once in a while? But not really. This was supposed to comedic, but putting romance and comedy together? Uh…not quite what I’m good at…so what can I say, I thought it failed. Romantic? Eh…I know I need it but it didn’t really work. Maybe I should have done the other way around, but on the other hand if I did Columbina, I wouldn’t be able to come up with things from the top of my head. It’s really hard to do improv for me. I don’t hate it at all and I really like Commedia, it’s just that whenever I’m trying to concentrate on two things at the same time, meaning trying to act the way an Innamorati moves and then trying to think of things off the top of my head is quite…difficult. If I was playing a zanni, it would be easier for me to think because I don’t really need to think much about the movement. Maybe the way the posture looks or the foot movement or when walking, maybe a little bit of thinking, but for me zanni is the easiest to do and I have more to do with the movement and words more than the Innamorati.

My notes on the other mini acts during class:
1st act: Chloe and Sarah
2nd act: Jo, Prema, and Lake
4th act: Kelly, Daniel, Zach

- Daniel and Zach – master and servant – really funny because of Zach’s character being so innocent and being truthful
- Chloe and Sarah – “inspire so many people”
- The people going against each other
- Jo and Prema – going against each other
- Messed up messages - funny because the zanni kept on mistaking, might be something I would like to do if I were doing a zanni :]
- Zach, Daniel, Kelly
- Physicality
- Sarah
- Kelly – “boobies..oh he loves birds! Tell him that I like swallows”
(That was very funny in a lot of way…I thought it was a nice follow up to the dialogue said before)

I wasn't here this day...but I'm going to comment anyways! Watching Zach and Lake was funny and I could learn a lot about zanni just by watching. The movements were zanni like and I liked how they out modern and commedia together. Nice idea of putting Disney into this! >u
